NEED FOR THE WHOLE STORY

In the Bible, God relates His plan of redemption, not as a set of truths
leading to a logical conclusion, but as a grand story. The HOPE presents
the drama of this story, from the beginning of time to the promised return
of Christ. This is very significant for two reasons.

1. The need to build a foundation. Many people in our world today lack the
influence of a Biblical world view. This can be just as true in a postmodern
western culture as in a remote pagan culture. Without a basic foundation
to understand concepts like the holiness of God and the reality of sin, a
Gospel presentation that moves too quickly toward a decision for Christ is
often ineffective. The HOPE builds this foundation -- in the order that it
was built by God.

2. The need for culturally relevant communication. Many cultures in the
world today are based on oral communication rather than written
communication. In some cultures this is due to the influence of tradition;
in others, to high rates of illiteracy, or “functional illiteracy,” which is often
attributed to a dependence on electronic media for the flow of information.

In oral cultures, storytelling is a primary means by which values are
passed from generation to generation. The HOPE is a perfect tool for such
cultures in that it combines storytellers and dramatic scenes in a
chronological overview of the Bible… which is, after all, revelation from
God in story form.

THE VISION BECAME A REALITY

Back in November of 2005 we were asking God to show us a Gospel
teaching tool in the Khmer language that we could share with the
Cambodian people. What he directed us to was a wonderful video;
however, it did not exist in the Khmer language. It was at that time God
revealed to us that we should have the HOPE video published in the Khmer
language. So Back in early 2006 along with help from Regie and Allyn
Japitana the process began. With much prayer, the help of Mars Hill
Productions and many other missionaries here in Cambodia, the KHMER
HOPE VIDEO was completed and published in March of 2008. To God be
the glory!

Since that time hundred of videos have been given away to Church's,
mission organizations, and individuals in Cambodia. In November of 2008;
again after much prayer our ministry His hands and feet is hearing God's
call to partner with the local Khmer Churches by asking their members to
invite a friend (that does not know Jesus) to a video presentation of the
Khmer Hope Video. We are very excited about this and ask that all our
friends and partners pray that God through his Holy Spirit will soften the
hearts of those watching this video, and truly enable them to hear and see
with their heart so that Jesus will become real in their lives.
