sound system.
Many of the Churches that we have been talking with about showing
as always God has been faithful and provided us this new system. It
consists of 2-Professional speakers and tripods, a 3000 watt video
projector, 2.2-meter wide portable projection screen, a 1000 watt
sound system amplifier with mic mixer, and laptop computer that
plays DVD's. In the future we hope to be able to purchase a 14 foot
diagonal outdoor viewing screen so that we can show to larger
audiences outdoors. Please see pics below of Kirk, Kelle, Allyn, and
Regie as they set up and test the new system.

the side of the Church/School as the projection screen, which
allowed for many people passing by to stop and see the Gospel

watch the Khmer Hope Video. Many people were moved, and it is
our prayer that through the Hope Video the small Church there in
Kratie will continue to grow! As always Father we thank you for

for the Khmer people.

JANUARY 22, 2009 - WESLEYAN BIBLE SCHOOL
outdoor presentation to 4-small villages located in the Provence of
Kampong Cham. To do this we will need a larger (outdoor)
projection screen for the viewing by more than 100-people at a time.
After fabrication of the outdoor projection screen we wanted to
make a test showing at the Wesleyan Bible School to make sure
everything fit together.
The Wesleyan Bible School director graciously allowed us to have a
showing at their School located about 15-minute drive south of
Phnom Penh. We were able to show the Khmer Hope Video to about
28-people that were constructing the New Bible School. It has been
an awesome privilege to present the Gospel message to these
construction workers and their families. Please pray that the Holy
Spirit will continue to work in their Hearts and that many will come
to know the Lord Jesus as the Savior and King.
Please pray for the presentations in the villages of Kampong Cham,
as we have been experiencing difficulties getting approval from the
Ministry of Religion to show the Khmer Hope Video.

pastor of the church passed away three months ago and two of
videos – that of David and God-Man. Most of the adults were out in
the late pastor’s sons are helping each other pastor the church.
Please pray for a revival in this church, for the Christians to be good
witnesses to their neighbors and people in their community. Please
pray for the relevance of the gospel to a people faced with the daily

AUGUST 5, 2009 - PRESENTATION TO KHLAH LOWT VILLAGE
Khlah Lowt is a village of approximately 80 households. The church
has a regular attendance of 40. We showed the story of David and
the God-Man video because there were more kids (32) than adults
(15) who watched. Most of the adults were out in the rice fields
working.
After the two shows, the people asked for more. Bunny, our
driver-evangelist, facilitated the Question and Answer portion and
explained the gospel.
After the shows, four people asked us for medicines for their
ailments. We told them we were not doctors. We just gave them a
few vitamins and pain relievers.
We also gave a copy of the Hope VCD to the church because they
have a TV set, a VCD player and a car battery. They can invite the
villagers and show the video some other time.

they have a beautiful concrete church building constructed through
the help of believers from abroad. The average number of people
who go to church is 20.
We showed 3 videos in this village, namely, The Life of David,
God-Man, The Hope. The number of people who watched the shows

AUGUST 4, 2009 - PRESENTATION TO FOURSQUARE
ORPHANAGE, PHUM TOUL SOK KROM, KRUM TROPEANG SDAV,
AND SROK ROMEAS HECK VILLAGES
In this village, we planned to have an afternoon show only for the
kids at the orphanage but the Director asked us if we can also have
a film show at night. We agreed and announced that we will start
another show at 6:30. We encouraged the kids to invite family and
friends.
In between the two shows, Bunny taught some action songs to the
kids. The orphans, who called us “Mom and Dad”, were so happy
with the new things they learned. Afterwards, one orphan climbed
up a coconut tree to get some young coconuts for us. The coco
juice was simply the best! Then, we were served dinner. It was
time for us to sample different kinds of herbs, grass and vegetable
leaves and the fresh rice-pond fish caught for the occasion.
At exactly 6:30, one man who attended the afternoon show
returned, asking, "Are you starting the movie now?"
After showing The HOPE video, many people asked questions. One
question was, "How come Mary got pregnant when no one has slept
with her?"
We are hopeful that more people will know Christ in this village of
Toul Srok Krom. Mr. Long Som Ohn, the orphanage director, has
these petitions: "For the orphans to believe in Jesus and for
opportunities to share the gospel in this place."
A total of 26 adults and 32 kids attended both shows.

AUGUST 3, 2009 – PRESENTATION TO KHNAL KRU VILLAGE
Four days of adventure in the district of Romeas Hek in Svay Rieng.
No electricity, no decent bathroom, no mattress for a bed. But we
had a car battery, a portable stove and firewood to cook food. We
had a water well with a hand pump to use. We had pillows, mats
and mosquito nets. We had a total of 9 film shows in 6 churches,
with approximately 320-350 people in attendance. Most of the
people requested us to show more movies but time was not enough.
Our first show, on August 3, was right after we arrived, at around
3:30 in the afternoon. This was in Khnal Kru, our temporary base
while in the district of Romeas Hek.
Khnal Kru has a population of 130 households. Pastor Pov Vun says
there are approximately 30-40 people who go to church on Sundays.
We showed animated videos in the afternoon for the young
audiences and the Hope video at night. A little over 100 kids and
adults came to watch.
Please pray for the seeds sown in people's hearts - that they will
grow and mature.
Please pray for those who watched the videos - that they will think
more about what they saw, will go to church and ask the pastor for
answers to their questions, and that eventually, they will also know
the One and only true God. Please pray for the Christians to grow in
their faith, despite the poverty they experience. Pray for a
breakthrough in their lives.

JULY 26, 2009 - HOLY SPIRIT CHURCH
Cancelled twice or thrice till finally we got to show The Hope video
in this church. We brought our stuff to the venue the day before
and we joined them for the Sunday service. The film show was done
right after the service and we had lunch together after the showing.
The pastors of the church made positive comments about the video.
We gave one copy of the video to one pastor. He plans to show it
to the people of Battambang and in other places where he ministers.

JULY 23, 2009 - PRESENTATION TO PREY BOH VILLAGE
headed to Prey Boh. We were stranded for approximately 30
minutes because a truck was stuck on the dirt road. Yesterday's
rain was really strong. The market near the place where we stayed
was knee-deep in water.
Finally, we reached the venue of the film show. We started to "set
up" right away. A good number of people came. The house was full.
Most of those who came attend the church that meets in this house
but they have never seen anything like this before. They're new
Christians. No one has read the Bible from cover to cover. Actually,
most of them cannot read. It's safe to say that they don't have a
good grasp of the entire Bible, from creation to Revelation. The
HOPE video was a good overview for them, explaining in simple
language the love and redemptive work of God.
Bunny, our driver-evangelist, explained about the important biblical
teachings. One woman said, "Before I did not believe but today,
after seeing the movie, it's made clear to me so now I believe in
Jesus."
We closed in prayer praying for the believers in this village.

JULY 22, 2009 – PRESENTATION TO AMPEL CHRUM VILLAGE
It's rainy season in Cambodia. It's too much of a gamble to
schedule a film show out in the open fields at night so we scheduled
an indoor show at 9AM in this village.
Mornings are a good time for farmers to go to the fields to plant
rice. It rained the day before so the following morning the soil was
still soft.
But the villagers sacrificed their time for us. They came on time.
We started with a children's video on the life of David. The adults
were already there but there were many kids, too. Pastor Keath
said, "This video is primarily for kids but the adults can enjoy it,
too."
We thought it would be just another show. But things were
different. We’ve not seen it happen in a long time. There was no
known Christian in this village, no Christian church. But God did
miracles before our eyes this day: people testifying about their faith
in Jesus.
A 78-year old man started with the question. He said, "I only have
one question. Jesus died already. They already placed Him in a
tomb but why was He alive again?"
The village leader also asked his question, "Jesus was a good man
but why did they kill him?"
After the village leader, a woman asked the question, "If I believe
in Jesus, will I be healed of my sickness?" The wife of Pastor Keath
shared a powerful testimony related to this question. Eventually
the woman said she believes in Jesus and all the others chorused
they believe, too. We led them in prayer. I (Allyn) shed tears of
joy as I told my new brothers and sisters: "I'm so happy today
because of the decision you made. The angels in heaven are greatly
rejoicing because you are now His children. Yes, we do want to help
you in the physical aspect of your life but the spiritual side of our
lives is more important. Our life is here on earth is but a moment,
a dot, compared to a life of eternity we will share with Jesus."

JULY 21, 2009 - PRESENTATION TO SAMAKI VILLAGE KAMPI,
KRATIE
On July 21, 2009, we headed to the village of Samaki in Kampi,
Kratie Province. It was raining when we were traveling to the place.
Our contact person was not sure if the adults would be there.
Arriving Samaki, we learned that the villagers went to the fields to
plant rice. We decided the show will go on... for the kids. At
approximately 9:30 in the morning, we started showing the
animated videos showing the lives of David and Elijah. There were
some adults who watched. One was an ex-monk.

JULY 20, 2009 - PRESENTATION TO THEWAY OF LIFE
WESLEYAN CHURCH, ROKAKANDAL VILLAGE, KRATIE
This film showing was at the Way to Life Wesleyan Church in Kratie.
We showed the stories of David, Elijah, Jesus and about Heaven -
the VCD's from RDI. Those who watched were students from the
English classes of the School of Hope. Most of the kids extended
their viewing time although ordinarily, they stay for their class for
only one hour. The kids were engaged with what they watched.
They laughed at the funny parts and made short comments as the
videos went along.
